Hello Friends,
It’s been a beehive of activity around here—both literally and creatively! I’ve been pouring my heart, hands, and many joyful hours into a beautiful new installation called Wild Village, which opens at the end of May at the Denver Zoo, right near the carousel. It’s “a meadow of playful dwellings”—a whimsical, interactive space where children (and kids-at-heart) can explore small sculptural houses inspired by animal habitats from around the world.
Each little house has its own personality, drawing from creatures that burrow, perch, nest, or roam. It’s been such a joy to watch this imaginative village come to life piece by piece. Even more magical is seeing the real meadow around it waking up too—as I’ve been working on-site, the bulbs and perennials planted last fall have started blooming, bringing bursts of color and life to the landscape.
This installation has truly become a labor of love. It weaves together so many of the things I care deeply about—art, nature, children’s wonder, and community spaces that invite play and imagination.

To celebrate this season of growth and buzzing creativity, this May’s downloadable wallpaper is filled with flowers and honeycomb—an ode to both the bees and the busyness that spring brings.
